hello hello! today i want to share with you my photo collection from my trip to salt lake city, ut! i met up with my friend daniel to catch up after a while and to celebrate pride together! this trip was in the beginning of the month, from june 2 to june 4, 2023.
i drove from devil's tower, wy and he came up from joe's valley, ut along with his other friends, chase, theresa, & mark! it was such a fantastic, lovely crew of people! it made for such a fun weekend! we took one day to go up to little cottonwood canyon to do some bouldering and rock climbing. it was super nice to be in the mountains again and everything smelled SO GOOD! i haven't climbed on granite that much, but there were some fun crimpy boulders and some more powerful ones i struggled on haha. i was amazed how close the mountains were to the city, and it was so nice to get outside.
for the rest of the pride event, we danced a lot haha. i don't go out that much or spend a lot of time in nightlife, so it was a fun change of pace! lots of music and dancing and good vibes. one of my favorite parts was people watching! everyone was all dressed up. we all went shopping together for outfits at the start of the week too. daniel found the perfect store by searching "gay clothes" on google maps lol. i brought lots of glitter for everyone. there was so so much glitter... one of the events was a drag show at a club and it was so cool! i loved seeing their outfits and all the details that went into them, plus they just had really fun performances and it was great to dance along with them and the crowd.
there were lots of great moments. i almost died by a beach ball that i swear to god was bigger than me while taking a selfie. daniel had a very fun time breaking someone's heart by telling them to get to the back of the line at the bar lol. someone let us onto a balcony during the pride parade so we got a great view of everything along with the mountains in the background! i had lots of great late night chats with everyone, and we also all had a fun time going to the hot tub at the air bnb together!
10/10 weekend! so much fun and so happy i got to go with everyone! :^)
